Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ2 smartphone at MWC 2018 and today the company has launched it in India. The new Sony Xperia XZ2 runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo and features advanced Motion Eye camera technology, HDR display, Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB RAM. This flagship smartphone is IP65/IP68 water and dust resistant certified. It is priced at Rs 72,990 in India. The phone will be available in Liquid Black color option from 1st August 2018.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) TRILUMINOS HDR display. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 400GB via microSD card).
The Xperia XZ2 packs a 19MP Motion Eye rear camera with autofocus, 4K HDR recording, 8x digital zoom, SteadyShot technology, LED flash, and much more. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera. The phone has a 3180 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It also supports wireless charging.
The handset has 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C (3.1), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Miracast, Screen Mirroring, GPS, GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 is priced at Rs 72,990 in India. At this price, the phone will compete with Samsung Galaxy S9, Vivo NEX, and Huawei P20 Pro.
