Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition Launched: Specs, Price & Availability

Today, Xiaomi has officially launched two new smartphones in China – Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition (Mi 8 Lite) and Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition (Mi 8 Pro). The new Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition comes with a 6.26-inch notched display, Snapdragon 660 SoC, dual rear cameras, and much more. The phone will be available in three gradient colors.

The starting price of Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition is CNY 1,399 (Around Rs 14,830) for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The model with 6GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage is priced at CNY 1,699. The most premium version comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage and costs CNY 1,999. This new Mi 8 Youth Edition is a perfect smartphone for those who were looking for a cheaper variant of Mi 8. It has almost the same design as Xiaomi’s Mi 8.

The new Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition features a 6.26-inch FHD+ notched LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

The Mi 8 Youth Edition features 12MP + 5MP dual rear-facing cameras with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. On the front, there’s a 24MP selfie camera with AI Portrait Mode, AI Beauty, and Face Unlock.

The phone packs a 3350 mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 (Qualcomm Fast Charging). The fingerprint scanner is placed at the back. For network and connectivity, the handset has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, etc.
