Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G launched with Snapdragon 855 SoC; costs $679

Xiaomi has just launched the 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 smartphone at MWC 2019. The new Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G comes with the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC along with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. The new 5G phone is priced at 599 Euros ($679 or Rs 48,000) and it be available in May 2019. The handset will come in two different colors – Onyx Black and Sapphire Blue.

Except the upgraded processor, 5G connectivity and battery, most of the features of this 5G phone are same as the last year’s Mi Mix 3.

The new Mi Mix 3 5G features a 6.39-inch OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone doesn’t have any notch display. It has a sliding front camera module that helped it to achieve the 93.4% screen-to-body ratio. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage.

The Mix Mix 3 5G has dual rear and front cameras. On the rear, it has 12MP + 12MP camera sensors and on the front, it packs a combination of 24MP + 2MP camera sensors.

The smartphone is backed up by a bigger 3800mAh battery. There’s also a fingerprint scanner on the back. Moreover, the phone has a dedicated Google Assistant button, NFC, Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+, and USB type-C port.
