Motorola Razr Foldable Phone: Specs, Price and Release Date

At the MWC 2019 event in Barcelona, we saw new foldable smartphones: Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei Mate X, and Oppo foldable phone. Now, Motorola is the next brand that’s planning to launch its first foldable smartphone called Motorola Razr. As of now, we are not sure about the name of Motorola’s foldable device but it’s naming will be consist of the brand name “Razr”.

According to the XDA Developers website, the upcoming Motorola Razr will be a smartphone with vertically folding dual displays. The phone’s primary display will be of 6.2 inches with 876×2142 pixels resolution. The size of the secondary display is unknown but it will have a resolution of 600×800 pixels.

The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 615 GPU. It will come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The handset may come with a 2730mAh battery.

In terms of software, the device is expected to run on the Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Also, it will come with a number interesting software features. For network & connectivity, the phone will have 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. We don’t know if it will have 5G support or not but most likely it won’t. It will be a good move for Motorola if they can bring this phone with 5G connectivity.

Motorola Razr: Price & Availability

  • Around $1500

Currently, there are no official details about the price of Motorola’s Razr foldable phone. According to the Wall Street Journal, the starting price of the phone will be around $1500 (Around Rs 1,05,000). The foldable screen device will be available in three different colors: white, black, and gold.
